Q. Do you charge for technical support?

Q. How do you handle technical support?

A. There is a link on every page of our web site that will take you to our online Technical Support Request Form.  This form is used for all support requests. This form contains information that helps us to distinguish you from our other clients so that we can better assist you.

Q. Does it take a long time for you to answer support requests?

A. Most general support requests are answered within an hour, while more complicated issues/problems may take longer to address.  In either case, we will stay in contact with you and let you know of the progress being made.

Q. How is my site built, what's the process?

A. We customize your site to your needs.  Once you sign-up we'll send you a questionnaire that collects all the information needed to build your site.  We need information like:
  • The type of payment you accept
  • The type of shipping you want to provide and it's cost
  • The contact information for your company including the various email addresses you want set up
  • The options you want to include (e.g. Wish List, New Item Notification, etc).
  • If you do custom work, your custom polices
  • If you provide gift certificates, gift cards and gift wrapping
  • Your company background for your About Us Page
  • Any testimonials you want included on your Testimonial Page
  • Your Privacy and Security Policies for your Security Policy Page
  • Your FAQ's for your FAQ Page
  • Your Department Names
  • Your Product Categories
  • What keywords best describe your site for the Search Engines
  • (You can change these choices later if you need to so don't worry)
Once we get this information, we build your site for you and turn it over to you.  Depending on the complexity of your Web Site and the amount of new graphics to create, it will take 2 to 4 days to build your site.

All that's left for you to do is:
  1. Load your products using the easy Administration Program
  2. Add the pictures of your products
  3. Market your business / products - and you're in business

Q. Can I change the colors of my site?

A. Yes, however changing color schemes can involve creating new graphics which takes additional time.  When choosing a new color you will need to think about how it will display on the different browsers and the different color depths available.  In other words, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator display colors slightly different, depending on the color.  Also, some people that view your site will have the ability to view 32,000 different shades of colors, while others may only be able to display 256 colors.  Some colors will not display well in some environments.  Don't worry if this is confusing, we'll work with you to get it just right.

Q. What happens if I want to change things like email id's or add testimonials in the future?

A. Simple, just tell us via a Support Request Form of the change and we'll make the change for you.  No Charge.

Q. Do I still need to keep my email account with my ISP?

A. Yes, you will still need an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to access the internet.  You will also need to maintain an email account with your ISP for outgoing mail transport functions.

Q. Can you create a custom header image for me and what does it cost?

A. Yes, we can do that.  If you have a picture to use as a base, or an existing logo / graphic in electronic format, this will simplify things.  We'll give you a firm price before we do the work, which is based on the complexity of the image to be created.

Q. How do I load and maintain my products?

A. We provide you with a simple Administrative Program that you can use from any Browser to maintain your products.  Click Here to see a sample screen of how it works.  You can also use an FTP program to maintain your images if you prefer.  If you have a lot of products to transfer over we'll create a custom load program for you so you can easily load your web site.

Q. How do I get good quality pictures for my site?

A. A professional is always the preferred choice.  However, if you are just getting started and don't want to incur this level of expense, you can do very well with a reasonable quality digital camera and some photo editing software.  We prefer Photoshop from Adobe.  While it is a bit on the pricey side, it has excellent features for scaling your pictures to different sizes, the ability to "unblur" your pictures and clean them up after you scale them, and can combine multiple images and add text.  Or for a nominal fee, you can send us your pictures and we can scale them and clean them up for you.

Q. How do I get different sized images for my site?

A. The On-Line Department Store System will work with most image sizes and does not require you to have four different picture sizes of each product.  However, we have found that having the ability for prospective clients to see the product before they buy is the key to them making a favorable buying decision.  Also, people do not want to wait long for pictures to download, so it is best to give them multiple size options.  As such, the Department Store System is optimized to display small images (206 by 150 pixels) resulting from searches, medium pictures at 310 by 225 pixels and large pictures at 620 by 450 pixels.  If you use the Wish List function, it displays thumbnail images at 77 by 56 pixels for items on people's wish list.  These sizes work well with different screen resolutions and Browsers and are a good trade-off between download time and the ability to clearly see your products. Click Here to take a test drive and see how the different image sizes work together to make a quick and easy web site.

Q. Can you create the different sized pictures for me?

A. Yes, you can send us your digital photos and for a small fee we can scale them and use the "unblur" filter.

Q. Are there any setup fees for my account?

A. The set up fee is $149.95 ** FREE ** (limited time offer).  Some clients ask for additional features like annimated graphics, Flash, additional web pages, or a complex Home Page.  In these cases, we'll let you know how much it will cost before we start.  Also, if you want realtime/internet credit card processing other than with Authorize.Net, there may be an additional setup fee.

Q. How am I charged?

A. We require a credit card on file and will bill it monthly for the upcoming month's service charge.  If you are unhappy during the first 21 days, you may cancel and all fees (less any set-up or customization fees) will be refunded.  We will continue to bill the monthly fee and any optional features at the start of each month.  We bill month to month so there are no long term commitments.  If you cancel after the first 21 days, no refund of the unused portion of that month is given.

Q. Can I use Active Srever Pages (ASP) or ColdFusion?

A. Yes, Active Server Pages and ColdFusion can be added to your server for a small charge if you wish to develop your own applications using these.

A. Yes, we can enable Microsoft FrontPage extensions on the server so you can use this to maintain your Home Page.

Q. What shopping cart / store system do you use?

Q. Can I call the Shopping Cart from my own HTML pages?

A. Yes, you can call the shopping cart via <a href="___"> links.  This allows you to create buttons on your pages to add items to the basket, view the basket or go to the checkout function.  All shopping cart functions display your company header image and all calls to the shopping cart can return back to any page you designate.

Q. Do you allow adult material or unsolicited email (spam) creation?

A. No.  Adult material (any erotic or pornographic material, links to adult sites, or advertisements for adult sites) and other objectionable material, copyright infringement and spamming are not allowed at any time.  Violators will be removed from the server without warning.

Q. What's the fine print (things I should know about your service)?

OWNERSHIP AND TITLE:
Freedom Networking Solutions provides a service to it's clients and licenses the use of it's technology for the client's use. All programs, graphics, images, CGI modules, databases, database design, programming, software, source code, scripts, ColdFusion and ASP programs/scripts/pages/templates, web design and system generated HTML pages are copyrighted and the sole property of Freedom Networking Solutions, Inc. All Rights are reserved. All images of client's products, custom html web pages built by or for the client and the data created as a result of running the Web Site are the property of the client. Any items uploaded by the client remain the property of the client.

BILLING:
All accounts are setup with recurring billing. User's credit cards will be automatically be billed on their billing date each month until account is cancelled. All billing occurs on the account activation date (the date the web site is accessible on the Internet via I.P. address or your URL) and on the anniversary of that date each month thereafter.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Freedom Networking Solutions shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental and consequential damages, which may arise from Freedom Networking Solutions servers going off-line or being unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Further, Freedom Networking Solutions shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental or consequential damages, resulting from the corruption or deletion of any web site from one of Freedom Networking Solutions servers. All damages shall be limited to the immediate termination of service.

INDEMNIFICATION:
CUSTOMER AGREES THAT IT SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD FREEDOM NETWORKING SOLUTIONS HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL DEMANDS, LIABILITIES, LOSSES, COSTS AND CLAIMS, INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEY'S FEES ASSERTED AGAINST FREEDOM NETWORKING SOLUTIONS, ITS AGENTS, ITS CUSTOMERS, OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, THAT MAY ARISE OR RESULT FROM ANY SERVICE PROVIDED OR PERFORMED OR AGREED TO BE PERFORMED OR ANY PRODUCT SOLD BY CUSTOMER, IT'S AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR ASSIGNS. Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server, or customer, of Freedom Networking Solutions is strictly prohibited.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Freedom Networking Solutions has the right to discontinue service, or deny access to anyone who violates our Policies or the terms and conditions WITHOUT WARNING OR PRIOR NOTICE. No refunds of fees paid will be made if account termination is due to violation of the terms.

CHANGE NOTIFICATION:
Freedom Networking Solutions reserves the right to change these Policies without prior notice or warning. Non-enforcement of any part of these Policies does not constitute consent.
